Unlike traditional online tools that require you to upload sensitive PDFs and images to a remote server, PrivatePDFKit processes everything entirely on your device. When you merge a PDF, convert a document, compress an image, or remove a background, our WebAssembly engine runs directly inside your web browser.

Because your files are never transmitted to us, we cannot store them, analyze them, or share them with anyone. Privacy here is enforced by the architecture itself — not by a promise we ask you to trust.

You do not need to create an account, register, or provide an email address to use our free tools. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, or phone number, and we never see the contents of the files you process.

To keep the service running and understand how to improve it, we use privacy-friendly analytics that collect only anonymous, aggregated data:

• Which tools are most popular, so we know where to invest.
• General geographic regions (country level) to optimize content delivery.
• Browser types and screen sizes to keep the interface responsive.

We do not use intrusive tracking pixels or browser fingerprinting. If advertisements support the free tier, partners such as Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits.

If you choose to upgrade to a Pro tier, payment is handled securely by a third-party processor such as Stripe. Your card details are processed by them under their own security standards — we never store payment information on our systems.

Because we process files locally and require no account, we simply do not hold personal data about you. You remain fully in control:

• Clear your browser’s local storage and cookies to remove any saved preferences.
• Use ad-blockers or browser settings to opt out of anonymous analytics.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will post a prominent announcement on the site so you’re never caught off guard.
