Terms & Conditions

The ground rules for using PrivatePDFKit. Written to be read — plain language, no buried clauses.

Last updated July 10, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using PrivatePDFKit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Use of the service

PrivatePDFKit provides a suite of fully client-side, browser-based utilities for editing PDFs and images. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes, and you are solely responsible for the content of the files you process with our tools.

You may not use the Service to:

  • Process illegal or unauthorized materials.
  • Forge or alter official documents for illegal purposes.
  • Reverse-engineer or circumvent our paywall or local processing engine.

3. Your data and privacy

As outlined in our Privacy Policy, PrivatePDFKit operates on a Zero-Upload architecture. We do not transmit, upload, or store the files you process — all processing occurs locally on your hardware.

Accordingly, we claim no ownership over your files, and we accept no liability for the loss, corruption, or exposure of files while they are on your device or in transit between your own applications.

4. Intellectual property

The design, source code, and branding of PrivatePDFKit are the intellectual property of PrivatePDFKit. You may not copy, redistribute, or sell the software provided on this website without explicit written permission.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for high accuracy — for example in the Passport Photo Maker or PDF tools — we do not guarantee that generated files will be error-free or suitable for official legal use.

Always review your generated documents before relying on them for any official purpose.

6. Limitation of liability

In no event shall PrivatePDFKit or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

7. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
